I in addition to my guys came looking through the excellent secrets found on the blog and suddenly developed an awful feeling I never thanked the website owner for those techniques. All the people were definitely warmed to read through them and have now in fact been loving those things. Appreciate your getting quite considerate and also for obtaining variety of very good subjects millions of individuals are really needing to be informed on. My honest regret for not expressing gratitude to sooner.

I'm trying to release some open source software, and I would like to test/support as many platforms as possible. The big ones I don't yet a strategy for are the ones that require special hardware and software purchases that are totally overkill for my needs (hp-ux on itanium, aix on power, osx, etc). So I'm in a quest for hosting providers to fit the bill.

As an example, I had a friend set my up a shell (ssh) account on his osx box with macports/gcc. That pretty much did everything I needed, but certainly wasn't a long term solution. Some other things I would also like to explore:

-the apple tool chains (xcode I think is what it is called)
-native gui builds (gtk+ with the osx backend, I was only using gtk+ w/ x11 before)
-multiple release versions of osx

Anyway most of my work is in the areas of Linux and Windows, so I'm not entirely sure what to ask for. I don't even know if some sort of hosted osx desktop for gui development exists. Even still the console access would be worthwhile.

My resource requirements are very small, so this may not be a big enough job to be worth you while, but you might make some great referrals. I know many devs trying to solve the same "how to target the apple mess" problem.

* I have quest additions installed.
* I have a shared folder called Shared.

To configure the above on the Guest OS:

(From the VirtualBox menu)

Devices > Shared Folders
Devices > Install Guest Additions

On the Guest OS (I am running XP)

My Computer

Tools > Map Network Drive

Drive: (I chose) x:
Folder: \\VBOXSVR\Shared

By doing this I was able to create a Shared connection between Mac OSX host and XP Guest OS.
